One such warrior is Beetlejuice, a four-week-old pit bull who has already faced more hardship than most. Against all odds, this tiny survivor fought for his life—and won.
A Heartbreaking Beginning
Beetlejuice’s journey began under tragic circumstances. Following a cruelty investigation, authorities discovered that his two siblings had already passed away. When he arrived at Everett Animal Shelter in October 2024, he was barely clinging to life.
His frail body trembled with weakness, his gums were pale, and his body condition score was a devastating 1 out of 9—the lowest possible rating. Malnourished, dehydrated, and too weak to eat, he required immediate medical intervention.
Fighting Against the Odds
Veterinarians wasted no time placing Beetlejuice on IV fluids and intensive care. His condition remained critical, and at one point, his fragile body began to crash. Too weak to eat, he had to be fed through a syringe.
But Beetlejuice wasn’t ready to give up. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of the shelter’s medical team and the support of Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical Fund, he began to grow stronger each day.
“It took our vet team lots of time, patience, and medical expertise to nurse him back to health,” the organization shared on their Facebook page. “He’s also been spending time in a loving foster home, gaining weight and recovering.”

By November 2024, the moment everyone had been hoping for finally arrived—Beetlejuice found his forever home!
A kindhearted woman named Heather stepped forward to adopt him, giving him the love and security he had always deserved. Beetlejuice has now settled beautifully into his new life in Granite Falls, Washington, enjoying every moment of his second chance at happiness.
After surviving against all odds, this tiny fighter now has a bright future filled with love, care, and endless cuddles.
