The National Geographic 2019 Travel Photo Contest has been open since March 18, and submissions will be accepted until May 3, 2019, at noon Eastern Standard Time. Every week, the publication has revealed a selection of entries from the previous week. A split-shot capture of an adolescent humpback whale, a candid moment of a mother loon feeding her chicks, and squiggles of headlamp-wearing skiers careening down the French Alps are among the images from week four.
Nature, cities, and people are the entry categories, and the grand prize winner will receive $7,500 as well as a post on National Geographic’s travel Instagram account. On the Travel Photo Contest website, you can learn more about the content requirements and how to participate.

I must say that all of the photos were absolutely gorgeous and enchanting. But the whale photo just took my breath away! To see the difference of size and the calm nature of another species to me interacting with a human is just so unbelievably facsinating to me. The wonders of nature at its best!
