This (totally) outdoor hotel in the Swiss Alps Alps called the Null Stern Hotel has no facilities and the nearest public loo is a ten-minute walk away. But why need a toilet when you can unite with nature – even that way.
Located 6,463 feet above sea level, the hotel has only one room – for 250 euros a night. Its name means “zero stars” in German.
“The star is not the hotel but each guest,” the hotel’s co-founder, Daniel Charbonnier, told Business Insider. “We got rid of all the walls, and the only thing left is you and your experience.”
Launched in July 2016, Null Stern is usually fully booked. Because of such high demand, the management is now working with tourist agencies to build more Null Stern beds in another popular region of Switzerland.
