Hemp is gaining popularity in the design industry as a sustainable alternative for wood with some added benefits!
Not only does hemp have the same physical properties as traditional tree-based wood, it also captures 4X as much CO2 as trees and is 100% biodegradable.
It doesn’t get more eco-friendly than that!
Some states have outlawed industrial hemp production due to marijuana bans, but fortunately there are several other states that are very enthusiastic about hemp’s abilities to help rescue our planet.
Hopefully, this plant will eventually become a norm for architecture everywhere!
