“I think he was hoping each person would give him treats.”
Rocky was the first thing Sophia Coleman noticed when she arrived for her first date with her now-husband, Josh. She fell in love with the small elderly rescue dog right away, and she soon fell in love with Josh as well. Rocky has been there for them throughout their relationship, so when it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted him to be a big part of it.
Coleman told The Dodo, “We’ve had ups and downs in our relationship, and Rocky has always been there to remind us what genuine love is, so there was no doubt that he had to be a part of the wedding.”
They agreed that Rocky would be the “best pup” and the ring bearer during the nuptials. They bought him a tiny outfit to wear, and he looked just lovely with the costume and his permanent “blep” owing to his missing teeth. Is there anything more adorable than a dog wearing a small purple tie and sticking his tongue out? Most likely not.
Rocky was supposed to be the ring bearer and go down the aisle in front of all the wedding guests, which the couple didn’t believe would be an issue. Rocky likes humans, despite the fact that he may be a grouchy old guy at times.
“Despite being 13 years old, he is quite the lively little boy,” Coleman added.
Rocky took his tasks quite seriously when the time came… for the most part.
Coleman explained, “It took a lot of persuasion and bribes to get him to walk down the aisle in front of 80 guests.” “He behaved excellent at the rehearsal when there were no guests in attendance, but he was a little distracted by the people during the real ceremony!” I believe he was expecting for goodies from each individual.”
Rocky stood by his parents’ side when they were married once he had made it down the aisle and was just somewhat disruptive. While everyone was excited to watch the pair tie the knot, it’s conceivable that they were even more excited to see Rocky up there with them.
Coleman remarked, “Everyone liked seeing him in his lovely little costume.” “There was a lot of enthusiastic laughing as he walked down the aisle.” He was, without a doubt, the show’s star!”
Rocky’s obligations ended as the wedding ended, and his parents took him to the bridal suite to rest. Rocky, on the other hand, was less than enthusiastic about the notion and found a way to show up at the event as well.
“He was still in the same building as reception,” Coleman explained, “but we decided it was best if he got some rest, and we didn’t want people to trip over him.” “At one time, he did break through the baby gate and flee when the bridal room door was unlocked. He went out of his way to find my husband and me, and he wanted to spend the entire night with us!”
Rocky eventually got to play his parts the way he wanted, and his parents wouldn’t have it any other way.
