“When I show her to others, they are frequently taken aback. People usually laugh a lot.”
Jinx was only three weeks old when her family discovered her abandoned in the middle of the night in a field. It was chilly and rainy outside, and she sorely needed their assistance; as soon as they took her inside, they knew she was supposed to be their cat.
“I had come home early from a football game at a friend’s high school and was talking to my mom when we heard meowing,” Jinx’s family member, Mia Ibanez, told The Dodo. “Because there was a large field behind our house, my mother and I went out into the backyard and shone a flashlight.” All we could see in the field was a small black creature, so we scaled the fence and discovered Jinx.”
The family covered her in a warm blanket, gave her some formula, and promised to help her recover. She appeared to be thriving well — but on the second day in her new home, Ibanez discovered Jinx’s eyes were a bit larger than they should be, as well as a few other oddities.
“I wasn’t sure whether it was simply because she was a kitten (I hadn’t had a kitten in years), but I initially only thought her eyes were unusually huge, but with time I discovered her feet were also really crooked, and the same with her nose and mouth,” Ibanez said. “I was expecting her to mature into them, but it never occurred!”
Jinx’s family brought her to the vet, who declared she was OK. She has no underlying problems or anything. Her unique look is most likely the result of congenital abnormalities or the repercussions of being abandoned as a kitten. They have no effect on her; all they do is make her insanely cute.
Jinx’s eyes are still enormous today. Her legs protrude to the sides, and her lips and nose are unusual. She has a distinct appearance, nearly like a little extraterrestrial rather than a cat — and her family wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I was relieved when she never [grew into them] since I adore animals with idiosyncrasies.” “I believe they make her even cuter,” Ibanez remarked. “When I show her to others, they are frequently taken aback. People usually laugh a lot.”
Ibanez enjoys introducing people to Jinx because she always manages to make them happy. Jinx and her peculiarities are adored by everyone, and her family is overjoyed that the world has embraced her for who she is.
Jinx, except from her extraterrestrial traits, is just like any other cat. She enjoys playing, follows her family around, requires space from time to time, and frequently believes she is a person rather than a cat. She has no notion she’s unique, and it doesn’t matter. Jinx will always be flawless, no matter what.
