A Shelter Dog Is Caught On Camera Breaking Out Of Her Kennel To Comfort Crying Puppies

When it appears that no one is looking, this is what love looks like.

According to a Facebook post by Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming, Maggie, an Australian shepherd, was in her cage when she heard the screams of puppies nearby in 2016. When there isn’t enough room elsewhere, the family-run firm in St. Albert, Alberta, frequently houses rescue canines.

Maggie had just given up her own puppies a few weeks before, and these puppies were without a mother.

Maggie made her move when the humans had all left the location. Alex Aldred, whose family runs the kennel, told The Dodo, “There’s a gate at the front of the kennel.” “There’s also a space where we can just slide a water bowl in. She wriggled her way through the aperture after pushing out her water bowl.”

Maggie walked down the hall till she came upon the two orphans, who were clutching to each other.

Despite the fact that she couldn’t join them inside the kennel, she rubbed her body against the cage as tightly as she could, as if to say, “It’s all right. I’ve come to help you.”

The Aldred family was out for dinner that night when they saw a dog had escaped from a kennel while watching the motel’s security cameras on their phone.

Sandy Aldred was hailed by a happy Maggie as she rushed back from dinner.

They returned to the puppies’ kennel together. Maggie made herself at home inside the cage after Sandy Aldred opened it.

Alex Aldred remarked, “She was really friendly with them.” “They were kissing her chin while she was mouthing them. As a result, we just agreed to keep them together for the evening.”

“They were still all huddled up when we went back in the morning,” Aldred continued.

Maggie, as well as the two puppies, have since found loving homes. But, the employees at Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming will never forget the night when Maggie’s act of love helped the lonely pups get through a scary time.
