A recent archaeological excavation in Kuwait has unearthed a bizarre clay head dating back 7,000 years, leaving experts scratching their heads. This enigmatic artifact, with its elongated skull, slanted eyes, and flat nose, bears an uncanny resemblance to depictions of extraterrestrial beings.

The Discovery:

The University of Warsaw announced the discovery, describing the figurine as “one of the most remarkable” finds from the Bahra 1 site, a significant archaeological location in the Subiya region of Kuwait. This period, known as the Ubaid period, predates the Bronze Age, placing the artifact’s creation between 7,000 and 8,000 years ago.

Archaeologists stumped by strange alien-like figurine dating back 7,000 years: ‘Raises questions’

Unraveling the Mystery:

While similar Ubaid figurines have been found previously, this particular artifact is the first of its kind discovered in the Persian Gulf. Professor Piotr Bieliński, involved in the excavation, stated, “Its presence raises intriguing questions about its purpose and the symbolic, or possibly ritualistic, value it held for the people of this ancient community.”

The excavation also yielded valuable insights into pottery production during the Ubaid period. The discovery of two distinct pottery types – imported Ubaid ware and locally produced Coarse Red Ware (CRW) – provides crucial evidence about early pottery manufacturing in the Persian Gulf.

Furthermore, the analysis of plant remains found within the pottery shards offers a glimpse into the local flora of the time. Researchers discovered traces of wild plants, primarily reed, in the locally produced pottery, while cultivated plants like barley and wheat were found in the imported Ubaid ware.

Future Research:

Archaeologists recently discovered a 7,000-year-old figurine that looks like an alien. Researchers discovered the unearthly form while digging at a site in Kuwait called Bahra 1. (SWNS)

The Kuwaiti-Polish Archaeological Mission plans to continue their investigations at the Bahra 1 site, hoping to uncover further evidence about the cultural exchange between Arabian Neolithic societies and the advanced Ubaid civilization.

The discovery of this enigmatic “alien-like” figurine adds a new layer of intrigue to our understanding of ancient civilizations. It serves as a reminder of the rich and complex history of the region and the many mysteries that still await discovery.
