“She really has become a part of the family.”
Roxie has just become a mother to four baby babies, and she couldn’t be happier. The rescued raccoon was eager to show them off to her favorite human. That’s just what she did.
Brittany Seidel’s frequent trips began in April 2021, when she purchased a new home. The former owners were well-known in the community for their conservation efforts.
“They said the raccoon would come to the door from time to time, but I didn’t really trust them until about a week after moving there,” Seidel told The Dodo. “I was cooking dinner when she knocked on the back door.”
Seidel wouldn’t ordinarily feed wildlife in the region, but since the raccoons were already used to it, she felt obligated to carry on the habit.
“I saw Roxie looked like she had been nursing in early May,” Seidel explained. “She appeared on the back porch at her customary time one morning with the four babies!”
Roxie had a baby last year, according to Seidel, and she still comes to visit. The amount of journeys the raccoon had made gave her the impression that there were more babies on the way.
“She starts arriving numerous times a day for food instead of only at night,” Seidel explained.

Roxie, who lives in the woods behind her house, appears to consider Seidel family.
“I recently bought her a little pool in which she may swim and play,” Seidel explained. “She is a lot of fun.”
Being a part of Roxie’s life has even assisted Seidel in realizing her own purpose.
“It’s really demonstrated to me how much I want to work with animals,” she remarked. “I’m now working on earning my license so that I may start a non-profit animal rescue.”
Watching Roxie and her children has had a significant influence on Seidel’s life and the lives of people who look forward to seeing it all on the web.
“Not only has she had a wonderful impact on my life, but she has certainly brought a lot of smiles to the internet,” Seidel remarked. “Every day, I look forward to seeing her.” She has truly become a member of the family.”
