“Emmanuel, don’t do it” 😂
Emmanuel the emu isn’t the only animal who lives with Taylor Blake, but if his recent actions show anything, it’s that he dislikes being photographed with his mother.
This weekend, Blake was filming herself with one of her cows when someone else appeared in the frame.
The roughly 5-foot-8, 120-pound emu tries to make his way into the scene while his mother speaks into the camera. Each and every time. Blake can be heard saying enthusiastically, “Emmanuel, don’t do it!” as he stares into the camera with his huge reddish-brown eyes. And, yeah, he still does it. According to the small smile on Blake’s face, this loving black-feathered emu can get away with almost anything.
In terms of size, emus are second only to ostriches, and when Emmanuel pecks at his mom’s phone and gets up up and personal with the screen, he makes his presence known in a huge (and amusing) way.

While Emmanuel appears to be trying to be the show’s star (and maybe ruin Blake’s phone in the process), it’s evident that he, like the other animals, is a well-loved pet. Because of his naturally inquisitive attitude (as well as his incapacity to fly – emus rely only on their long legs to get about), Emmanuel will most certainly continue to try to steal his mother’s thunder.
Blake tells CNN, “The dude is just a natural.” “I swear he was born to be in front of the camera.”
Blake attempts to thank everyone for watching in this video, but Emmanuel interrupts (like only Emmanuel can).
