A Cloud Casting Its Shadow

The reason why clouds appear white and the sky is blue is due to the way light interacts with the atmosphere. Sunlight, which initially appears white, is scattered by particles in the sky. These particles scatter blue light more effectively than other colors, resulting in the sky’s characteristic hue.

Cumulus clouds, recognized for their flat bases and often described as “puffy” or “cotton-like,” are low-level clouds typically found below 2,000 meters.
