“The shambles were too amazing to be angry about.”
While Jazmine has always been an inquisitive puppy, she has never been one to make messes. She enjoys stealing shoes and carrying them about, but other than that, she’s content to just play, snuggle, and be with her family.
Jazmine’s mother, Katie Robinson, told The Dodo, “She doesn’t even try to tear the stuffing or squeakers out of her toys, so the beanbag chair murder was surprising.”
Robinson was upstairs folding laundry one day when she noticed Jazmine and her sister, Hazel, quietly asleep below. She had been upstairs for approximately 45 minutes when she returned downstairs to see the largest mess she had ever seen.
Jazmine and Hazel had apparently decided they wanted to examine what was inside their family’s huge beanbag chair, so they tore everything out of it. Jazmine had never done anything like this before, but she couldn’t help herself when she witnessed Hazel get things started. The couple fell asleep in their mess after removing every last piece of fluff from the beanbag, and that’s how Robinson discovered them — naively dozing off in the midst of their devastation
The shambles were huge, but Robinson was unconcerned. She couldn’t stop giggling at the idea of the puppies hiding amid the fluff like it was the most natural thing in the world. It was also astonishing that such a small puppy and her not-so-large sibling could create such a ruckus.

“I wasn’t angry; I was surprised that they produced such a mess so rapidly and were sleeping like nothing had occurred,” Robinson explained. “In the video, I sneak up on the sleeping puppies and say, ‘What did you do?!’ as I get close to Jazmine.” She then looks up at the camera with her adorable, innocent puppy eyes before laying her head back down, seemingly fatigued from all that labor. Hazel, the Chiweenie, on the other hand, was well aware that she had been caught and went away with her head bowed. They were not prosecuted because the shambles were too stunning to be upset about.”
Fortunately, the beanbag chair was unharmed, and the family was able to fit all of the filling back inside. Although Jazmine was undoubtedly disappointed to lose her fantastic sleeping area, the debris was rather easy to clean up. Overall, it was amusing — but regrettably, Jazmine’s streak of not being disruptive appears to be ended.
