Butter is a cheerful, lovely cat with an enthusiastic demeanor. Butter is usually laid-back and easygoing.
But he’s not one to back down in the face of a bully.
Butter was relaxing in front of the home the other morning as owner Pedro Teles’ father took their family dog, Mochi, out for a walk. It had been a calm morning, but it didn’t last long.
Another man and his dog emerged out of nowhere, and a little brawl ensued.
“[The man’s] dog became aware of Mochi and began barking,” Teles said to The Dodo. “I’m sure my cat noticed this and feared something was wrong.”
Though the unknown dog may have only wanted to play, Mochi was afraid. Butter, on the other hand, was not willing to take any chances.
What occurred next was as follows:
Was it possible that Butter misinterpreted the situation? Perhaps. Fortunately, the bully dog was not hurt. He’d just recently been relegated to his proper position. Even his owner didn’t think the swat was warranted.
“My father expressed regret,” Teles stated. “The man was startled and awestruck by what Butter accomplished,” says the narrator.
Butter had demonstrated his bravery. And it was all for the benefit of Mochi.
“My father claims that as soon as they returned inside, Mochi began wagging his tail. Butter did a great job there, and I believe Mochi appreciates it “Teles said. “Butter was rewarded for his bravery with sweets right away.”
