Hazel and Motley’s owner recently decided to do a small experiment. She pretended to be on the phone with someone else as the two dogs lounged close.
All of her pets’ favorite words occurred to be mentioned in that fictional chat. Would Hazel and Motley notice, though?

Hazel and Motley appeared to be listening in after all, with their perked-up ears and eager looks indicating as much. Or, to put it another way, as their proprietor expressed it:
