I always feel uplifted and encouraged when I hear a story that is both inspiring and tear-jerking, and I find it difficult to stop thinking about it.
Even though it has a grim beginning, the tale of a small dachshund named Maria is unquestionably similar to that.
Maria was discovered alone and abandoned. She was about to give birth and was pregnant. But when some animal lovers discovered her, they realized the terrible reality right away.
One of the worst things I’ve ever experienced was witnessing an animal suffer.
So whenever I hear about animal lovers who do their part to care for disadvantaged animals, it makes me incredibly happy.
Maria, a dachshund, hasn’t led a simple existence. She was pregnant and abandoned when she was discovered.
Dachshunds frequently have back issues due to their long bodies and short legs, and if they don’t receive the proper care when they do, it’s not unusual for them to become paralyzed.
Maria, who was paralyzed and due to deliver a sizable litter of puppies, experienced exactly that.
But Maria’s journey to that point is almost more heartbreaking.
When her owners realized Maria would require a $3,000 caesarean section, they simply abandoned her. Maria’s owners had been using her to breed puppies.
The people who discovered Maria understood that their situation was critical. She had a large stomach and could give birth at any moment.
The Texas animal organization “Friends of Emma” took in Maria and made sure she could deliver her puppies safely — and in the process, they saved her life.
Maria gave birth to seven healthy little puppies.
Soon, they grew big and strong and the good news could have ended here. But it continued…
Just months after her successful delivery, Maria was able to walk again. The little dachshund who was once paralyzed and abandoned was now getting the love and care she needed. Isn’t that the best?
Maria and her puppies all found their forever families since the rescue, according to Maria.

How could people be so cruel? Obviously only wanted the money 💰 for the puppies they thought they were going to get, regardless of what happened to their beautiful Dachshund. I just hope Karma doesn’t forget what they did to her. Hopefully the rest of her life will be with loving humans 😡
