The ‘guilty’ ram responsible for the death of an elderly woman in South Sudan.
According to local media, a ram was sentenced to three years in prison for allegedly attacking and head-butting an elderly woman to death in South Sudan.
A local court in Rumbek city, South Sudan, has also ordered the ram owner to give the victim’s family five cows as compensation.
According to Sudan Today, Rumbek police in South Sudan’s Lakes state apprehended the ram after it murdered the woman last weekend. Before she died, the ram allegedly attacked the woman and butted her in the chest numerous times.
According to Lakes State customary law, any pet that kills a person is paid compensation to the deceased’s relatives.
