“She will end up typing a long string of gibberish and then accidentally step on the ‘enter’ key” 😂
Like a lot of cats, Buffy only accepts attention when it’s given to her in her way. She enjoys spending time with her mom and is very caring and kind, but only on her timeline. None other’s.
Buffy’s mother, Kate, told The Dodo that if you try to pet her, she will flee and find a place to sit by herself. But once she makes up her mind that she wants attention, she is vocal about it and turns into the most lovable cat imaginable.
Naturally, Buffy enjoys pestering her mother the most when she is at work.
When the pandemic broke out and Kate started working from home, Buffy knew she had to figure out how to join her mother in her daily activities. She didn’t want to spend the entire day sitting around watching her mother work on her laptop. She desired something more engaging than that, and soon after, she discovered the ideal position for her.
She typically spends approximately 10 minutes per day sitting next to me in my work chair before deciding she’s had enough and getting up to go, according to Kate. However, she will occasionally leap up onto my desk and either cross over or sit on my laptop’s keyboard. She will frequently unintentionally hit the ‘enter’ key while typing a long string of nonsense into Microsoft Teams, which sends the absurd message to my coworkers.
All of Kate’s coworkers are quite supportive of Buffy’s involvement in her mother’s job, and Buffy is extremely proud of it.
My employees constantly laugh or reply to her messages because they find it humorous, Kate said.
Kate could definitely figure out a means to prevent Buffy from hopping into her laptop and unintentionally sending messages if she really wanted to. Although it’s not harmful to anyone, it can actually be a terrific way to raise the mood in the office.
Kate remarked, “It’s funny and it makes my coworkers smile.” It’s innocent fun and might be a turning point in someone’s day, so long as she isn’t interfering with legitimate work. I’m sure I’d think it adorable if one of my coworkers’ cats sent me a note.
It’s obvious that Buffy should be named employee of the month. She merits it.
