After a Day of Hard Work and Heat, an Elephant Cuts Its Handler in Half

The elephant used its tusks to stab his handler before tearing him apart.

An elephant in Thailand ripped his 32-year-old handler in half after becoming “mad” due to the excessive workload.

Authorities suspect the animal, known as Pom Pam, became upset while transporting rubberwood at a plantation in southern Thailand’s Phang Nga province.

The elephant used its tusks to attack their trainer Supachai Wongfaed before tearing him apart.

Local police, the village head, and rescue workers ultimately discovered Wongfaed, cut in half and lying in a pool of blood.

Thaiger alleges that Pom Pam was shot with a tranquilizer dart by livestock officials from 500 meters away.

According to police, the scorching heat may have caused the animal to “go insane,” causing it to attack and murder its owner.

Locals informed authorities they felt the elephant was stressed out from his job.

Wongfaed was the son of the former Khok Charoen subdistrict mayor.

The elephant had reportedly become frustrated as a result of being overworked in extreme heat (KhaoSod)

Elephants rarely attack humans, but they can turn aggressive if they feel harassed, weak, or threatened.

An elephant stomped a woman to death in India earlier this year, then returned and attacked her corpse at her funeral.

According to local sources, on the morning of June 9, 70-year-old Maya Murmu was innocently gathering water from a tubewell in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district in Eastern India.

According to police accounts, Murmu was assaulted and murdered by a wild elephant that had wandered from the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary in a neighboring state.

The animal trampled Murmu, who was transferred to a local hospital but died of her injuries shortly after the incident, according to Rasgovindpur constable Lopamudra Nayak.

Elephants are thought to kill 500 people in India each year.
