Police Smashed a Window to Save a Dog That Was Dying In an Overheated Car

He was left without water and trapped in a sweltering car, with no sign of his owner.

When policemen saw the poor puppy, they were forced to bash out the vehicle’s windows to save the animal from suffocating in the heat.

It is unknown how long the dog was left in the car. Footage has been released showing a cop using a tool to crack the driver’s side window open.

As he desperately tries to escape, the wheezing dog leaps out the window, fully unconscious of the glass around him.

Officers then give him water, which he promptly drinks. The dog is then seen staring about in surprise.

NOTE: Every year, dogs suffer and die when their owners make the mistake of leaving them in a parked car for “only a minute” while doing an errand.

Dogs being killed by parked cars: On a 78-degree day, the temperature inside a parked automobile can quickly rise to between 100 and 120 degrees, and on a 90-degree day, it can reach as high as 160 degrees in less than 10 minutes.
