I feel it inappropriate to keep your dog in the car on these hot days as a dog lover. However, some dog owners are demonstrating complete irresponsibility in this regard. After witnessing a woman leave her puppy in a scorching hot car, a police officer decided to teach this woman a lesson while the most of them get away with it.
A concerned citizen called the police to report that a dog had been abandoned in a car in the Strongsville Walmart parking lot. The police officer decided to force the woman to sit in the sweltering car so she might understand how the poor canine felt.
In the beginning, the officer just intended to issue her a ticket. She needs to learn her lesson, he decided after observing her attitude and her lack of concern for the safety of the animal. The Sun News produced a blotter detailing what transpired next.
The police forced the woman to spend a few minutes inside the warm car with the windows open and the engine off in order to demonstrate a point. Although the woman claimed to be OK, the officer saw that she appeared uneasy. The woman was warned that she would receive a citation if she did this again.
Fortunately, someone noticed the dog and alerted the police, who sent an officer to the scene just in time. But consider what may happen if a negligent dog owner, like this woman, left the dog in the vehicle without anyone noticing. The temperature inside the car would be 20 to 25 degrees warmer than the outside, of course. In this particular case, the police officer reported that the temperature inside the automobile was 114 degrees when it was roughly 90 degrees outdoors.
According to the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, it only takes 5-10 minutes for a pet to get heatstroke. in a hot vehicle and it only takes up to 6 minutes for a dog to be gone in extreme heat when left in a vehicle.

Give that officer a raise! She should not be allowed to have any pets!
