A Stormy Sunset Over North Carolina’s Outer Banks is Captured in Beautiful Photos

George Wang works as the Chief Technology Officer of an engineering consulting firm by day, but his passion for technology has driven his photography hobby, which includes DSLR cameras and drones. So when he found himself in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, he couldn’t resist using his favorite gear to capture the beautiful scenery. He was able to get an extraordinary shot of storm clouds and the sunset by flying his drone high above beaches where wild horses wander free.

Sand, sea, sunset, and stormy clouds are represented in the fantastic photograph. The well-balanced composition entices viewers right away. The storm clouds provide drama, while the sunset’s rich orange and purple hues elevate the image to new heights. The photograph was born out of Wang’s direct inspiration. He tells My Modern Met, “Inspiration comes from the situation.” “The Outer Banks is a hidden treasure; it is wild and untamed.” I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime photo when I spotted the storm forming on the horizon.”

During the same photo shoot, a second photograph focuses on the famed Corolla wild horses that roam these beaches. Surprisingly, the horses are descendants of Colonial Spanish Mustangs who were introduced to the area in the 16th century. Wang was able to capture two of these gorgeous creatures as they leisurely nibbled on seagrass on the Outer Banks’ northernmost beaches. The photo may be a postcard for the Wild Horse Beaches, as it is set against the same stunning clouds as seen from above.

Finally, we have Wang and his companions, who are jokingly dabbing as they reminisce about their journey. In the perfect drone selfie, the flaming sunset blazes behind them. Despite the fact that Wang considers photography to be a hobby, his talent is obvious, and we are fortunate to have been included in his excursions due to his willingness to share. He thinks that by doing so, others would be able to reflect. He says, “I hope people can take a breath and enjoy, but more importantly, feel the moment.” “Feel how stunned you are to be witnessing something so magnificent.”
