Dog With a Large Tumor Is Given A Second Chance And Is Now Leading The Greatest Life Possible

Seeing a dog with a tumor is never pleasant, especially if it has gone unnoticed and untreated. These unfortunate animals suffer a significant lot of suffering as a result of tumors that can become frighteningly enormous.

Like one dog that had a second chance from some nice rescuers after being abandoned at a shelter with a large tumor.

When Hattie’s owners gave her to a nearby shelter, they were horrified to find the sizable tumor on the dog’s side.

Vet Ranch

Hattie’s owner reportedly intended to put the dog up for euthanasia, but the animal received a second chance. She was brought to Dallas DogRRR – Rescue because she required a lot of care. Rehab. Reform were astounded by the dog’s state.

In a Facebook post, they claimed that it “may be the worst owner surrender we have taken in” and claimed that Hattie’s owners had done nothing to stop the tumor from growing for two years. No complaints were made.

Despite the fact that her family had clearly neglected her care, Hattie was now in capable hands. The rescue arranged for Vet Ranch to operate on Hattie.

Vets discovered Hattie to be cheerful despite everything she was undergone. She has learnt to live with the enormous weight on her side, according to a veterinarian.

In a video posted by Vet Clinic, Hattie’s veterinarian remarked, “It’s just so terrible to me that she’s used to just dealing with this.” Even though she has this on her, “she simply goes about dealing with this day in and day out like it’s a bean bag chair.”

The surgery to remove the enormous tumor was done by veterans. It took “three hours to get that beast off,” according to a Facebook post by Dr. Karri of Vet Ranch, but the procedure was successful and Hattie was “sleeping comfortably.”

The vet reported, “She was 41 lbs and only weighs 26!” I’m eager to observe how her personality develops once she is free of this burden.

Followers inquired about an update on Hattie’s health after her story went viral, and Dallas DogRRR reported that the adorable dog had a very happy ending.

They stated that Hattie had found a loving home in the year since her “bowling ball-size tumor” was removed.

According to the organization, “She was happily adopted, and once again a neglected and abandoned animal has received its happy ending.”

Photos show Hattie in her new home, where she appears content and at ease and has a playmate for her canine companion.

It’s heartbreaking that Hattie went through so much discomfort and that her owners didn’t get her treatment sooner, but we’re glad she’s now happy, tumor-free and in a great new home.

Thank you to all the rescuers and vets who gave Hattie a second chance! Share this story! ❤️
