Every Day, a Senior man Waits Patiently By The Lake For His Closest Friend To Emerge and Meet Him

The human species has had a close relationship with nature from the dawn of humanity. Something that has survived to the present day. Though many of us can’t image what it’s like to live far away from the hectic city life we’ve been accustomed to, there are still many individuals who live quietly off the grid, deep in the woods.

Seppo Laamanen, a 65-year-old guy who lives alone in his comfortable cottage in the Finnish forests, is one such example. Despite being alone, Seppo has never been lonely since the animals who reside next to his step door have always been excellent friends to him. But there is one otter with whom he has the closest relationship. Seppo now receives visits from his four-legged companion on a daily basis. Every morning, the old guy looks forward to his visit!

It all began a few of winters ago. Seppo was taken aback when he saw the little critter asking for food on his doorstep back in the day. It was really cold outdoors, and the young otter couldn’t find anything to eat because the lake was nearly completely frozen. Seppo, a kind-hearted guy, offered his peculiar visitor some fish, which he eagerly accepted. It was the start of a wonderful friendship. One that became popular when someone chose to share the word about these two pals on the internet.

Now that the friendly otter has made itself at home in Seppo’s home, the elder man is overjoyed to have it there. Seppo makes sure he has some extra food in his cupboard now that winter is approaching, just in case his otter friend chooses to bring over some of his furry buddies as well.
