We all know that nature is beautiful, but if you ever needed a reminder, just check out Twitter. It’s there that @AlfieDaye shared an astonishing photo of a blackberry’s lifecycle. In one visually appealing image, Alfie is able to remind us just how incredible nature really is.

By meticulously laying out the growth of a blackberry, from bud to flower to fruit, he’s taken us all back to school in the most captivating way. Given the overwhelming popularity of the tweet, it seems like a lot of people were thrilled to reflect on nature. Since Alfie first tweeted his photo on June 16, it has already been liked a million times and retweeted by over 163,000 people, making it a viral sensation.

The stunning transformation showcased in the tweet has inspired a wave of similar posts, with people sharing the life cycles of various fruits. Strawberries and blueberries were shared, along with coffee beans and even a Mexican blackberry. Each of these berries follows a similar pattern, with flowers eventually ripening into the delicious treats we love. In the case of coffee, the plant produces coffee cherries, which are coveted by cultivators. Inside these cherries are the precious coffee beans that are processed and eventually give us our beloved caffeine fix.

The natural process these plants go through isn’t a solo endeavor. They rely on the help of several animals to spread their seeds and develop into fruit. Birds, squirrels, deer, and bears all play their part by eating the ripened fruit and dispersing the seeds through their excrement. And, of course, bees are essential for pollinating the flowers. These pollinated flowers slowly transform into the lush fruit we all enjoy.

So sit back and marvel at some incredible photos that will make you appreciate the wonders of the natural world like never before.

Across Twitter, people have been sharing visually satisfying photos of the life cycle of berries, creating a stunning tapestry of nature’s incredible processes.
