If there is one thing in this world that is truly stunning, it is the wonder of birth. And we’re not just talking about people here; we’re talking about all living things. The birthing procedure of a tiger fascinates us in this specific case.
The Australia Zoo’s crew captures an extremely uncommon and heartbreaking film of a Sumatran tiger giving birth. Unfortunately for Kaitlyn, a mother tiger, things haven’t gone as planned, as her twin cubs appear to be comatose after birth. But, much to the surprise of the caregivers, the tiger’s maternal instincts kicked in and the little animals began to breathe again.
Because the Sumatran tiger is one of the world’s most endangered animals, the entire procedure was closely supervised. There are just about 600 Sumatran tigers remaining in the world, according to estimates. When a Sumatran female is ready to give birth, the zoo’s employees must be present to oversee her. If something goes wrong, the crew is ready to jump in at any time to rescue the cubs or the mother’s life.
Because Kaitlyn was going to become a mother for the first time, observation of the delivery process was even more important in this situation. Surprisingly, she acted as if she had a lot of experience in front of everyone. She assisted her babies in stimulating their lungs and teaching them to breathe independently. We’re all looking forward to seeing the little critters grow up now!
