It is difficult for anyone to choose which lovely dog to adopt from an animal shelter. It was especially difficult for Danielle Eden when she visited a dog shelter in Israel. She couldn’t decide which of the abandoned animals to save because they were all in serious need of help. So she chose them all. They were all 250 of them.
Eden isn’t new to animal adoption. She is the co-founder of Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary, an animal rescue organization in Ontario, and she has rescued stray dogs from all over the world.
However, this was the worst refuge she had ever seen. 250 canines were crammed into a rat-infested room built for 70, and the animals were dirty and fought over food crumbs. In such a situation, there was only one option: she purchased the entire dog rescue enterprise. Since then, she has relocated 90 dogs within Israel and another 25 to her refuge in Ontario. She aims to eventually move all of the dogs to Canada. Danielle Eden is a dog’s best buddy if a dog is a man’s best friend.
