To Save A Young Giraffe From Drowning, Brave People Risked Their Lives

There are certain locations on Earth where people still know how to perfectly cohabit with such gorgeous species, despite countless animals on the verge of extinction and an endangered animals list that is greater than ever. Respect, trust, and caring form a particular relationship. And if a vulnerable animal is in distress, people understand that they must intervene. It’s also the case of this newborn giraffe in Kenya, who was rescued from drowning.

A newborn giraffe became caught in the middle of Kenya’s Uaso Nyiro river for unclear reasons. And, as if the powerful currents weren’t enough of a challenge for the vulnerable critter, this rushing river is also home to crocodiles. As a result, the destiny of the young one appeared to be sealed. Nonetheless, assistance came from an unexpected source.

When the terrified giraffe was heard, a group of wildlife rangers and residents rushed to her aid. The animal was saved after a few hours thanks to the bravery of these kind individuals. Thankfully, one of these good people published some images of the rescue on the internet, allowing others to express their gratitude.

A person said, “Marvelous rescue effort, kudos excellent friend of samburu wildlife Mr Baba Sue and colleagues.” “Wow!” said another. What a display of bravery and devotion to wildlife – our priceless heritage.”

Some giraffe species have recently been classified endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Masai giraffe is one of them. They are a subspecies that roams the regions of Kenya and Tanzania, and their numbers have plummeted in the previous three decades, with just 35,000 living in the wild.
