She didn’t know her happy ending was right around the corner ❤️
When Baby, a pittie, was abandoned off at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, it was obvious that the pittie was befuddled. The year-old puppy was discovered walking the streets of Northeastern Pennsylvania, suddenly in a new environment, surrounded by strange people, and she didn’t like it.
She want to locate a safe haven or return home. P.J. Regan, the shelter’s medical manager, took a picture at that point.
The executive director of Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, Ashley Wolo, told The Dodo, “You could tell she was obviously apprehensive in the new atmosphere and new surroundings.” “She seems as if she’s waiting for her owner to come through that photo of her peering out the door window. To say the least, it was heartbreaking.”
Baby was vetted, dewormed, and treated for fleas and ticks at the shelter. Even though she was feeling better, the kennel’s stress was making her to emotionally shut down.
“There are so many other dogs in our kennel area,” Wolo explained, “that there is a lot of barking, it’s really loud, and it’s unpleasant.” “She was a completely different dog when she was outside in our play area.” She enjoyed playing and running about. We saw a different side of her, and it was just how a dog should act.”
Pregnant Dog Rescue was contacted by the shelter to see whether they had room for Baby. The pitbull got along so well with the other dogs that they agreed to adopt her right away — but that didn’t last long.
Baby, along with another dog from the rescue, was adopted after only a few days. And her new family is completely devoted to her.
Baby’s adopters noted in an email, “She has been a lovely pup from the moment we got her home.” “She’s been acting as if she’s been here all along.” She is well-behaved at mealtimes and walks well on a leash.”
“I work from home, and she patiently sits and sleeps on my feet while I work,” Baby’s family explained. “A sweeter dog has never existed.”
In her new home, Baby has entirely changed. Now, the only time she looks out a window longingly is when she’s expecting her adoring family to return home with a special gift for her.
