Black Kitty Makes Strange Noises Over Baby Monitor, Mom Checks Baby’s Bedroom And Leaps For The Phone

For those of us who want children, we can’t help but have an idea of how many and what sex we want; daydreaming about the future is perfectly natural.

But, as most of us know, things don’t always turn out the way we’d planned.

Roy and Bernita Rogers from Kansas City, Missouri, talked about their dreams of having a big family.

But when it came to trying for a baby, things didn’t turn out as they had expected.

A couple of years into the marriage the couple had to endure the heartache of three premature births. Despite being devastated they never lost hope.

To fill the void of not being able to have a child Bernita decided to get a cat; something that she could love and focus on.

This beautiful black kitten called Midnight not only became an important member of the family but signaled the start of something wonderful.

Shortly after the couple brough Midnight home, Bernita got pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Their baby girl Stacey and Midnight became such good friends and the cat became her biggest protector.

When their sweet baby girl showed signs she wasn’t feeling well they took her to her doctor who assured them it was nothing to worry about as it was just a cold.

After returning home Roy and Bernita put their baby down to rest, safe in the knowledge that the baby monitor was on and Midnight was close by.

But shortly after, they heard the most unusual screams on the monitor.

“It was this screech-wail-scream-cry. It was frightening enough that I jumped out of the chair and ran upstairs,“ said Bernita.

The worried mom and dad ran into their daughter’s room and saw Stacey struggling to breathe.

Stacey’s skin had started to turn blue so they rushed her to the ER, where they were told their baby had suffered full respiratory failure.

With treatment she started to recover but had they left her any longer, who knows what may have happened.

Thank goodness Midnight alerted them in time. Black cats are amazing but some people shy away from them. This cat is a super hero and deserves a big hug and a special treat.

Animals senses things we don’t, my cat is the same way.

He stays close to me when I’m feeling sick and when I feel down he would come and lay on my chest and would touch my face and give me the most loving look.

A lot of people think cats are stupid. Cats are very smart. That was a heart warming story.

Glad midnight save his baby sister. ❤

Please share with all the cat lovers you know.
