Officials in a Texas city are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an unexplained “item” seen on surveillance cameras outside the city’s zoo.
The City of Amarillo shared a photo on Facebook on Wednesday of what looks to be an unusually clothed individual roaming outside the Amarillo Zoo’s gates at 1:25 a.m. on May 21.
“Is it a strange-looking individual who loves to go about at night? What is a chupacabra? Do you have any thoughts on what this UAO — Unidentified Amarillo Object — may be?” According to the post.
According to Michael Kashuba, director of Parks and Recreation for the Municipal of Amarillo, city authorities urge members of the public to submit their theories.
“It’s an unusual and intriguing visual,” Kashuba told KXAS-TV. “Perhaps Amarillo might assist us in solving the enigma of our UAO.”
According to him, local officials feel no crime was committed.
“It’s also worth noting that this creature was found outside of the Amarillo Zoo,” Kashuba stated. “There were no evidence of attempted zoo access. There were no injuries to either animals or people. There was no evidence of criminality or vandalism.”
