A strange and disturbing video has emerged on the Chinese state-run media platform People’s Daily, showing hundreds of sheep walking in circles without stopping.
It has since been revealed that the sheep have been doing this for nearly two weeks, according to Marca. The sheep began their creepy practice of walking in circles on November 4, according to their owner, whose farm is located in northern China’s Inner Mongolia region.
Only one pen (number 13) of the hundreds of sheep that Ms. Miao looks after has been acting strangely. What about number 13? It just adds to the eerie atmosphere.
We’ve seen reindeer circling in cyclones, but this is the first time we’ve seen such behavior in sheep.
Some think the sheep could be suffering from the bacterial disease known as Listeriosis, also called “circling disease,” commonly caused by low quality silage.
According to People’s Daily post, however, the animals are healthy.
