Woman Constructs a Fish Tank Inspired by “Star Wars” That resembles an Underwater Galaxy Forest

The Imperial troops employed the AT-AT battle vehicle (All Terrain Armored Transport) throughout the Clone Wars in the Star Wars saga. The enormous mechanical beast with four legs was a pretty potent weapon, but Carly Thompson, an aquarium aficionado, envisions a world in which they have perished. She designed a Star Wars aquarium, literally “swimming with the fishes” with the bones of an AT-AT walker.

When Thompson’s brother gave her an AT-AT aquarium ornament for Christmas, she got the concept for the futuristic aquarium. She wasn’t first certain about using it because she rarely adds artificial components to her aquariums. She did, however, choose to make a fresh attempt. According to Thompson, “I understood that I wanted it to look as natural as possible.” “I thought back to the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order map of Kashyyk. My inspiration for this tank came from both that and the Moon of Endor from the Star Wars films.

Thompson designed and assembled the fish tank over the course of around three days. The tall, gangly tree trunks were made using cholla, a typical aquarium wood. The mossy jungle effect was then achieved using java moss and a three-leaf seed. After the aquarium was complete, the only thing left to do was choose the fish that would inhabit the underwater environment.

The choice of the aquatic species for this tank was tough for Thompson, she admits. “I picked neon tetras since I thought their vivid blue and red colors would not only symbolize a lightsaber appearance but also create a good pop of color,” the author said. However, Thompson ultimately decided to keep ember tetras in the tank after falling in love with them. “I wanted these fish because of their flaming red hue and their general natural activity. I stocked my tank with five of them that I bought from my neighborhood pet store, she claims. The fish in the tank were quite curious and energetic.

Thompson felt the ember tetras would be happy in her larger, thirty-gallon tank after conducting more study on the species. Red cherry shrimp and Ramshorn snails, which appear to be thriving in their planetary forest, took their place. I adore this tank, and I never imagined that other people would feel the same way, says Thompson.
