A Dog Out For a Walk Discovers Someone Who is Really Stuck in a Stone Wall

He wouldn’t leave until his dad agreed to help 💞

One day, a man and his dog were walking across a field in Tow Law, England, when the dog got quite interested in a nearby stone wall. After a closer inspection, the couple discovered a cat that had become fully encased in the wall.

The RSPCA was contacted, and Inspector Ruth Thomas-Coxon drove over to assist. She had hoped that gently extracting the cat, subsequently named Freddy, out of the wall would be simple, but she immediately learned that he was far more stuck than that.

“At first, it appeared as though he’d decided to burrow himself within the gap, but he didn’t try to flee as we drew closer,” Thomas-Coxon stated in a news statement.

Thomas-Coxon examined her alternatives and determined that tearing down the stone wall would be the best method to liberate Freddy.

“The owner of the paddocks and wall came out, and we removed some of the stones between us to demolish the top section of the wall and rescue the cat,” Thomas-Coxon explained. “He dashed for it and leapt through another area of the wall, where we caught him.”

Freddy was obviously trapped and needed help, but he wasn’t thrilled about being rescued by strangers. He calmed down after he understood he was secure, and Thomas-Coxon brought him to the vet to be examined out.

RSPCA

“Vets discovered he was in quite excellent condition, albeit he had some matting in his coat, which they removed,” Thomas-Coxon explained. “Because he was a nice, sociable cat, I wondered whether he was a lost pet, but he wasn’t microchipped.” I made several queries in the area, put up a placard where we rescued him, and even posted his profile on PetsLocated, but he has yet to be claimed.”

Freddy is fitting in nicely at the shelter, and if no one claims him, he will be placed up for adoption. Freddy has gone a long way from being imprisoned in a stone wall to a prospective everlasting home.
