A man from a town named Dildo, located in Newfoundland, Canada, recently made an unusual discovery while exploring the coast. Ken Pretty, a photographer residing in the same town, stumbled upon a peculiar iceberg that bore a striking resemblance to a male reproductive organ.

The iceberg, standing at an estimated height of 30 feet, immediately caught Pretty’s attention as he ventured along the shores of Conception Bay. Recognizing the comedic potential of his find, he wasted no time in capturing an image of the phallic iceberg and sharing it on his Facebook account.

Anticipating the reaction it would receive, Pretty humorously mentioned in his post that he expected “a few comments” on his discovery. As predicted, the comments section quickly became inundated with people cracking jokes and sharing witty remarks about the remarkable ice formation. The post garnered an impressive 2,000 likes and over 600 comments, highlighting the humorous appeal of the situation.

In response to the viral post, one Facebook user even went so far as to edit a photo to depict the penis-shaped iceberg floating within a glass of alcohol, jokingly stating, “Took a piece off the Dicky Berg, stiffest drink I ever had.” The online banter continued, with another commenter adding, “I thought cold water made them shrink,” evoking laughter from the amused audience.

Pretty disclosed that he used a drone to capture a clearer image of the iceberg, providing a closer look at its unique shape. Surprisingly, due to its uncanny resemblance, some individuals questioned the authenticity of the photographs, assuming they had been digitally manipulated. However, Pretty affirmed that the images were indeed genuine, stating, “I can tell you – it’s real.”

Regrettably, the natural sculpture’s time in the spotlight was short-lived. Pretty revealed that the day after he took the photograph, the distinctive shape of the iceberg collapsed, resulting in the loss of its phallic form. Consequently, Pretty’s image stands as a testament to the iceberg’s fleeting moment of fame, being perhaps the final depiction of it in its “erect” state.

The fact that Pretty hails from the town of Dildo added an extra layer of amusement to the story. The Toronto Star even covered the incident with the headline, “Dildo, N.L., man captures phallic iceberg in Conception Bay,” embracing the humorous nature of the situation.

Although this particular iceberg may have melted away and become a fond memory, it serves as a reminder of the unexpected wonders that can be found in nature. As Ken Pretty’s viral discovery demonstrates, even in the most unlikely places, Mother Nature has a way of bringing joy and laughter to our lives.
