To save 27 pups from an Alabama “death shelter,” a lady flew on a rescue mission.
The strange passengers boarded a Cessna that carried a group of persons from Enterprise, Florida, to Orlando, Florida, including Cassandra Dianna Marie.
Marie uploaded a number of videos to the @cassventures TikTok account, documenting the 40-minute flight across state lines. While a few puppies napped on her knees, videos revealed the cabin to be full of dogs.
The video’s single caption, which was posted on Thursday, read: “Rescue aircraft! All of the puppies have found homes.”
As Marie responded to comments and posted follow-up videos, the video has received over 11 million views.
The original video depicts mutts of various sizes and shapes dozing, perching on different laps, trampled over one another, and gazing out the window.
As Marie explained that they weighed their load and left anything that wasn’t necessary behind, the numerous dogs scramble over the rescuers, who are scarcely discernible behind a mound of fur.
“We used weight. Each pound matters. even went beyond our oceans, “She spoke.
She commented, “An overcrowded high kill shelter in Alabama,” adding further information about where they were being rescued from.
The large German shepherd in the rear was “trained to become a police dog,” she affirmed, and all the dogs, most of them were mixed breeds, had been adopted by now.
The journey, according to Marie, went as perfectly as it possibly could “They had no anxiety at all! Really pleased to be the center of attention.”
And she disclosed: “They take a little snooze after running around a bit before boarding. The trip was brief!
Another video showed the pups playing and running about before takeoff, with Marie joking that they were “ready to eat” when they landed.
“One of my fave experiences #TBT special shout-out to the most dope pilot ever @danielasorgente,” Marie said on her Instagram profile @cass.bergeronn about the trip.
All of these puppies went to Orlando, Florida, thanks to Save a Life Pet Rescue, Open Heart Rescue, Pilots and Paws, and Abby’s Rescue.
Dog lovers and would-be pet owners may keep track of upcoming rescues at Alabama Puppy Rescue Flights, Marie said, adding that she is a volunteer.
She affirmed for those worried about the health of the dogs: “We had only climbed 7,000 feet. Not at all painful to the ears.”
Although she acknowledged that her trousers were “wet with urine,” she stated the puppies were “cute and smelling,” so that wasn’t the only body part they needed to be concerned about.
