Adorable baby raccoons look up to French bulldog as their dad in viral video

It’s always heartwarming to see bonds between animals of different species. Sometimes different animals can form unlikely little families.

That’s what one sweet viral video shows, as two raccoons seem to think a French bulldog is their dad!

The video, posted by TikTok user @marshallwilliamson, shows the two little raccoons faithfully following a Frenchie named Buster:

This seems to be a regular thing, and the raccoons appear to look up to Buster as a father figure: “Day 53 of not figuring out he isn’t their dad,” a caption reads.

While the raccoons see Buster as their dad, the dog isn’t quite returning the love: he seems confused about why the animals are following him around.

But many people understand the raccoons’ confusion, saying that the gray-colored Frenchie does resemble a big raccoon: “It took me a second to realize the first big raccoon was indeed a frenchie,” the top comment reads.

“The way my brain immediately accepted that the Frenchie was a raccoon without a second thought,” another wrote.

The video has gone viral, with over 1.6 million views on TikTok.

According to other videos posted by Marshall, the baby raccoons are named Bonnie & Clyde, and they live in the household. Another video shows the duo trying to have some playtime with Buster, though he would rather be napping:
