“It was as if he knew our hearts were broken.”
Lisi Pickell was in a vulnerable state after a year of personal tragedy when she met eyes with someone little peering at her from her yard. She wasn’t interested in making new friends as she settled into her new home in Florida and mourned the recent losses of her father, stepfather, and German shepherd.
But there was a gorgeous black cat sleeping across the graves of a small pet cemetery. Pickell and her spouse were stunned.
Pickell told us, “That first morning transformed our lives.” “We were taken aback by the fact that he was just sitting on the graves and staring at us.” We both thought it was a sign from God that our German, my father, and stepfather were still alive.”
Pickell approached the cat and was immediately struck by his trust and friendliness. She was relieved to have an animal close, even if she had no idea where he came from.
“We assumed he was a stray or a kitty who had been let out to play,” Pickell explained.

Frank continued to soothe the couple in unexpected ways over the course of several weeks. Frank understood Pickell needed extra attention after she lost one of her best buddies.
“I came in to feed him, but he simply rubbed my legs,” Pickell explained. “I put his food down, but he stood up on his hind legs, grabbed my leg with both front arms, and purred loudly as he pressed the side of his face to mine.” He was aware of my sadness. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget!”

Pickell and her husband are deeply moved by Frank’s presence in their lives and grateful that he has provided them with much-needed comfort. Frank, who clearly adores them, must be overjoyed as well.
“We finally started laughing again after Frank came into our lives,” Pickell said. “It was as if he just walked into our lives, spreading happiness like magic.” He’s like this little package of healing and love from Heaven.”
