Ricky Ray is fiercely protective of his family and must remain close to them at all times. Despite his little stature, he’s a feisty pup that believes he’s much bigger than he is.
“He’s really affectionate and cuddly with family, but quite hesitant with strangers, as [are] most Chihuahuas,” Ricky Ray’s family member Layla Tucker told The Dodo. “He’s incredibly protective of our mother and will charge any dog that approaches her, especially while they’re in bed.” He just has three teeth, so he doesn’t cause much harm. He’s also just about 4 pounds, but he believes he’s a Great Dane.”
Tucker’s family and friends were recently staying in a house together for a short vacation to celebrate several family birthdays. Because it was a new place, they were concerned about losing track of Ricky Ray and another Chihuahua, Petrie, who was also residing there. The home also had these large iron gates with holes in between them, which the little dogs could easily fit through. They needed a solution to keep the small people from getting lost, and they came up with the greatest one.
They planned to attach balloons to Ricky Ray and Petrie so that the family could see them everywhere they went — and it perfectly worked.
After that, anytime someone wanted to locate one of the dogs, they only had to look for the bobbing balloons, and there they were.
“It’s fantastic for parties, wandering pets, elderly folks, or even youngsters to protect people from walking on them,” Tucker added. “Ricky Ray is generally right next to Mom’s feet, which keeps her from treading on him as well.” When we’re in a strange location, he tends to roam, so it’s also helpful to keep track of him.”

The small Chihuahuas didn’t appear to notice their new additions and went about their business as if nothing had changed.
Tucker remarked, “They didn’t appear to mind the balloons at all.” “They don’t travel quickly or far.”
Throughout everyone’s stay at the home, the balloons kept Ricky Ray and Petrie from being trodden on by mistake and warned everyone if they wandered too far away. They were not only a cute solution, but they also kept them safe, which was the finest part.
