A Man Turns a Space Behind a Wall into a Cat’s Bedroom

“He loves it as much as a youngster who has finally gotten his own room.” πŸ€—πŸ’•

Bryan Davies and his family welcomed Wyatt, a beautiful rescue cat, into their house a few months ago. And the curious kitten didn’t take long to find his new favorite hobby.

“Wyatt enjoys looking out the window at birds and squirrels,” Davies told us.

Rather than making Wyatt wait for birds and squirrels to emerge, Davies came up with a novel solution.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies discovered a method to augment Wyatt’s preferred kind of entertainment during the winter months, when animals visited his observation areas less regularly. On a tablet, he looked up bird footage on the internet and presented them to Wyatt.

Davies explained, “We turned to YouTube, and he liked it.”

Wyatt now had his own personal television. But Davies wanted to give him something much better: his own private viewing area.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies had seen an unoccupied area along a wall near his bedroom during a recent refurbishment of his home. That made him think.

“It was the ideal location for an even smaller bedroom in our little house,” Davies explained. “So I broke down the wall and began redecorating.”

BRYAN DAVIES

It was all for Wyatt.

Davies completed the little space by adding a small cat bed and other finishing touches.

The little room came together beautifully.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies even hung little works of art on the walls that he felt Wyatt would like.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies finished by mounting his cat’s television to a wall, allowing him to view his favorite shows – animal footage β€” in the privacy of his own small room.

After then, it was time to exhibit Wyatt. The cat’s response?

Davies stated, “He likes it.”

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies confesses he wasn’t sure if Wyatt would use the cramped space he designed. However, it immediately became the cat’s favorite hangout.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies stated, “He spends a lot of time in there, requesting to watch his program before having a nap.” “He stares at the screen like any other adolescent. He also naps a lot. He enjoys it as much as a child who has finally been given his own room.”

BRYAN DAVIES

Of course, Wyatt does not spend all of his time in the room. However, he seemed to love having his own personal space.

BRYAN DAVIES

Davies felt that the time and work he put into creating a little room for his family’s cat was well worth it. After all, Wyatt means everything to them.

Davies stated, “He is our best buddy.”
