Skeletal husky dog saved from certain death; ten months later, she is no longer recognisable

If you ask me, a stately husky dog is one of the best breeds of canine. Because of this, it breaks my heart to see how some people treat these lovely dogs.

If you’ve ever been to Bali, a stunning island, you know how amazing it can be there. Unfortunately, there is a sizable homeless dog population there. Controlling the situation has proven to be very challenging for the authorities.

Thankfully, some volunteers have decided to tackle this issue on their own and have made it their goal to give abandoned dogs a second chance at life.

Rico Soegiart is an instance of an animal hero. Rico saw a horrifying sight on the streets of Denpasar on his way home from work: a husky whose bones were protruding from her malnourished body. She was almost gone.

Rico knew he had to give the abandoned dog a second chance because, despite her state, her brilliant blue eyes still shone. He took care of her for ten months, and the transformation, as seen below, is incredible.

Hope, a husky dog, was abandoned on Bali’s streets and left for dead.

When 26-year-old animal lover Rico Soegiarto was on his home from work one night he was stopped in his tracks at the sight of the undernourished dog who barely had any coat left.

Hope was just skin and bones when she was found weak and frightened on the streets of Bali.

When Rico took care of Hope, she did not have many days left to live.

But despite her heartbreaking state there was a streak of hope in her bright blue eyes.

Rico immediately knew that he had to give the poor dog a second chance.

“I do not know what was so special about her,” says Rico. “It’s about heart and feeling. I found her when I was on the way back home from work, she was in the middle of the street.”

After being given a loving home, Hope slowly began to recover. She was properly groomed, had several veterinary visits and plenty of good and nutritious food.

Rico is very proud of his newfound friend and shared Hope’s transformation online.

Today Hope is a strong and healthy husky with a beautiful thick coat and the same dazzling bright blue eyes.

Hope, too, appreciates Rico, who saved her life. Rico said: “She loves getting petted and eats plenty of cookies!”

Hope is now part of a big and happy family – Rico and his girlfriend have 4 other dogs that they saved from the streets! 

What an amazing transformation this husky has undergone, it’s among the most incredible I’ve seen!
