“I have absolutely NO idea how it got into my house” 😱🦎
Angie Preciado, who lives in Arizona, opened her laundry room door carelessly one day, as she sometimes does, and was surprised by a huge animal racing away and a loud hissing noise. It was completely unexpected, so it seems sense that it took her a moment to grasp what was occurring. She was very shocked when she took a close look at him.
Preciado told us, “Naturally I backed off, almost ending up on top of my dryer.” Fortunately, he turned away from me and hid behind the hamper in the laundry room. I contacted my husband and informed him that there was a Gila monster in the laundry room after escaping and covering the door with a broom to prevent the cat from returning to my home.
The Gila monster, despite its terrifying moniker, seldom threatens people. They are often fairly lethargic and only want to do their own thing, despite having a very nasty bite. Still, Preciado found one loitering in her laundry area to be rather startling.
Preciado stated, “I have absolutely NO clue how it entered my home, how long it was there, or whether he “moved” around my home before ending up there.
When Preciado’s husband first heard about their new neighbor, he didn’t believe her. However, when he got home, he picked up the laundry basket and saw the bewildered lizard for himself. Preciado contacted the non-emergency fire department to see if they might assist in returning the Gila monster to his proper location, and they had the same response as her husband.
They arrived despite thinking it would be something different, Preciado claimed. When the two guys entered the laundry room and moved the basket, they too were taken aback.
The Gila monster was securely removed from the laundry area by the firefighters after being carefully placed in a box. Preciado was overjoyed to see him back at home, even if it was a few yards away from where they had just freed him.
